Medvedev approved a lower customs duty rate of 75% on goods declared in electronic form
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree "On Amendments to Government Decree No. 863 of December 28, 2004". The document was developed by the Ministry of Finance of Russia in accordance with the schedule of activities necessary to implement the commitments undertaken by the Russian Federation in the course of negotiations on accession to the WTO.
The resolution provides for the addition of a government decree of December 28, 2004, No. 863, with a new clause that introduces the application of the customs duty rate for customs operations when filing a declaration for goods in electronic form in the amount of 75% of the rates of customs fees for customs operations established by this resolution.
The resolution comes into force on January 17, 2013 and extends to legal relations that have arisen since August 21, 2012.
According to the norms of Part 1 of Article 357.10 of the Customs Code of the Russian Federation, customs fees for customs clearance of goods are:
